Take note that this is only some ideas and suggestion of mine. As for the other things like fonts and such, you will have to download it yourself. You can get fonts from HERE, HERE and HERE. [I’m too lazy to download fonts too… I don’t have much fonts collection lol] And btw, please click on the images to view in original size~ :P :P :P VERSION 1; BORDER AROUND TEXT Start by typing your text first. Rightclick on the layer box [text layer], click ‘EDIT LAYER ATTRIBUTES’. And then, ‘SELECT > GROW’, set the grow selection to whatever size you want, but I usually use 2-5. Before clicking OK, make sure you create a new layer first and place it below your original text layer. Last but not least, click ‘EDIT > FILL WITH BG COLOR’. VERSION 2; DROP SHADOW For this kind of typography, I like it to be in bright color. If it is not white, then the text will be in whatever bright color in the palette. After that, click ‘FILTERS > LIGHT AND SHADOW > DROP SHADOW’. The offset X and Y are usually already automatically set, but you can always change it as you like. Click OK and you’re done~ VERSION 3; GAUSSIAN BLUR We need to have two text layers in the canvas. One of bright color and one of dark color. Overlap the text with bright color on top. Click ‘FILTERS > GAUSSIAN BLUR’. Done. VERSION 4; OUTLINE SWAG /lolwhut/ Type in your text. Rightclick in the layer box [on the text layer], and click ‘EDIT LAYER ATTRIBUTES’. Click ‘SELECT > GROW’, set the grow selection to 1. Create new layer, click ‘EDIT > FILL WITH FG LAYER’. Btw, the color of the text and the outline must be contrasting with each other. In which, if your text is in bright color, then your outline must in in dark color. Now, after filling the new layer with dark color, rightclick on the original text layer in the layer box and click ‘EDIT LAYER ATTRIBUTES’. And then, in the layer box, click on the outline layer. Lastly, click ‘EDIT > CUT’. Move dark outline slightly away from the original text. Done~ VERSION 5; SHADOW VER2 Create two new text layers. Overlap the text layers with bright colored text on top. Move the bright colored text slightly away from its original place and voila~ done. VERSION6; TEXT WITH TEXTURES Create new text layer, and then, rightclick and click ‘EDIT LAYER ATTRIBUTES’. Drag the texture that you want to use into the canvas. Click ‘EDIT > CUT’. After that, click ‘EDIT > PASTE AS > NEW LAYER’. Delete that texture layer from your canvas. If you want to add borders around the text, read VERSION 1 tutorial. VERSION 7; MOTION BLUR Create 2 text layers of different colors. Overlap them. Click ‘FILTERS > BLUR > MOTION BLUR’. Click OK and there~ you’re done. VERSION 7; WIND |
