LESSON 4; SIMPLE ANGST

Roses are red, violets are blue, the day is so gloomy /likedaffff/, so let’s feed ourselves with some taohun feelseeuuuuuu ;____; /lesobs/

----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

1) Open a new 400x500 canvas. Fill it with light grey [#ececec]. Drag TAOHUN images into the canvas, resize and crop. By the way, only crop Tao’s pic thoooooo…. As usual, after cropping and placing the images, go to ‘COLOR > CURVES’. Move the curve using your own creativity then sharpen it, ‘FILTERS > ENCHANCE > SHARPEN.’ If you're new at this, maybe CLICKING HERE will help you. Then merge the two layers together.

2) Duplicate the layer that you had merged, go to ‘FILTERS > EDGE DETECT > SOBEL’. Go to ‘FILTERS’ again, click ‘BLUR > MOTION BLUR’. Set the opacity to 50% and mode to ‘Grain Extract’. By the way, I’ve duplicate another layer of the merged images and set it to softglow. I forgot to print screen the step.. I’m really sorry TT____TT Anyhow, just duplicate the layer [original layer], go to ‘FILTERS > ARTISTIC > SOFTGLOW’. Set the opacity to ‘50%’. This layer should be the second layer.

3) If you noticed in the pictures below, I move the layers a little bit to the left until Tao’s legs were hidden. I feel like the previous position was… well… okay forget it. Now, drag the texture into the canvas. Go to ‘FILTERS > BLUR > MOTION BLUR’. Set the Length to ‘29’ and Angle to ‘91’ and click OK. After that, set the mode to ‘Burn’ and Opacity to ‘70%’.

4) Create a new layer, fill it with orange [or any color you desires]. Rightclick > Alpha to Selection. Go to ‘SELECT > SHRINK’. Set the shrink selection to 20, then click ‘EDIT > CUT’. Set the mode of this layer to Overlay. And then go to ‘FILTERS > DÉCOR > ADD BORDER’, set the color to black [for the REAL border]. Make sure to change the ‘BORDER X and BORDER Y’ to 1 before clicking OK.

5) Add text. ‘CTRL + S’ or ‘CTRL + E’ to save it and voila! You’re doneeeeeeeeeee <3333

We’re finally done with the ‘simple’ posters. If you notice, I don’t use that much resources while making them because yes, they’re THE simple posters. I love to play with the curves and experiment around with the software… Well, it’s now time to escalate to the next part. In the next tutorial, I’ll be making tutorials of animated poster. Damn… so excited XD!
