Coloring in GIMP is not like Photoshop. We don’t have PSDs coloring for all it matters and we’ll have to do it manually. But basically, curves will enchance your graphic, making it look more HQ, even when you’re not using HQ pictures. Kind of like adjusting the lighting and such… lol. And so, today I’m going to use a Low Quality picture of a unicorn/slapped/ /coughs/ I mean, Zhang Yixing aka LAY >,<!! OMGAHHHDDDD YOU DID NOT JUSZZZZZ--- /yup, we dun hav time fow dat/ /slapped/ - First of, after dragging your image into your canvas, click ‘COLOR > CURVES’ and the said pop out window will appear. The lighting of you image now will change depends on how your move the curves. Click on the image to view in full size. CHANNEL: VALUE CHANNEL: RED CHANNEL: GREEN CHANNEL: BLUE AND IF YOU COMBINE THEM CHANNELS TOGETHER~~!! Easy right? The most important thing is to experiment around with the curves. When you’re done, sharpen your image by clicking ‘FILTERS > ENCHANCE > SHARPEN’. |
